A Pennsylvania family visiting Ocean City is grateful to a stranger who rushed to help their daughter after she was injured in the surf.

Katey Multari, 11, was hit by a large wave that knocked her down and broke her arm.

“I was in the water and I didn’t notice this big wave was coming,” Multari recalled. “It knocked me down, and I tried to get back up, and another one hit me, and my arm buckled.”

A woman who happened to be a nurse jumped in to help, keeping Multari calm and comfortable until medics arrived.

Afterward, Multari’s family turned to social media in hopes of finding the nurse so they could thank her.
