The Browns keeping four quarterbacks wouldn't be breaking news if that's ultimately the route they go when the initial 53-man roster is revealed by 4 p.m. Aug. 26. They've all but indicated that to be the case.

The latest nugget that points in that direction: Coach Kevin Stefanski saying that he expects Kenny Pickett to be available for Week 1 on a Zoom call Aug. 24.

"I think he will be available Week 1," Stefanski said. "But he's getting better every day."

Pickett was seen as Joe Flacco's top competition to be the Browns' opening-day starter when training camp opened. However, his July 26 hamstring injury prevented him from doing anything more than seven-on-seven drills up until Aug. 19, when he returned to "limited" 11-on-11 drills.
