COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Officers are searching for two reported carjacking suspects after a pursuit on Sunday in Colorado Springs.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded at 9:15 a.m. to a reported carjacking in the 1200 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue.

Police said officers found the vehicle, and initial information suggested a possible kidnapping victim inside the car. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled.

Officers briefly pursued the suspects but stopped after the vehicle began traveling in the wrong direction on I-25.

The two suspects later got out of the car and took off running. Officers later found the vehicle in the Stratmoor Hills area.
