Daisy was only a puppy when her family brought her home. She showered them with loyalty and affection, believing she would be loved and treasured for life.

Sadly, Daisy’s owners decided to give her up and surrendered her to Midwest Animal ResQ in Raytown, Missouri.

When asked why, the family explained that they were too busy to care for her. Staff warned that because Daisy was already a senior Great Dane, she might never get another home, but her family didn’t change their minds.

Without even saying goodbye, they unloaded her from the car and left.

Daisy sat there in confusion. She watched as the car pulled away, unaware that she would never see her family again.

Coming To Terms With Her Heartbreak

The staff brought her inside and tried to comfort her as best they could.
