It’s almost impossible to describe the anguish two dogs went through after being cruelly abandoned in the barren Utah desert, with no food, no water, and no shelter to keep them safe.

Locked inside a cage, they could do nothing but gaze out at the endless emptiness, silently wishing that someone—anyone—would come to save them.

The two male Landseers yearned to escape, to find something to eat, or to stumble upon a kind soul who could help. But trapped and defenseless, they were left to endure the scorching desert heat with no chance of survival.

In their eyes was only confusion, unable to understand why the humans they loved had betrayed them in such a heartless way.
