When I wrote last month advocating for the introduction of flashing-yellow left arrows on Ohio traffic lights, I was unaware that a handful of them already exist in the state.

None, however, are in northwest Ohio. At least, not yet.

But the Ohio Department of Transportation has plans to introduce such arrows when it replaces signals at two adjacent Ottawa County corners: the staggered junction of State Rts. 163 and 269 east of Port Clinton.

ODOT will hold a public meeting Wednesday afternoon at the Liberty Aviation Museum at Erie-Ottawa International Airport to provide information and answer questions about the signal project and two others coming up this fall. The other two are roundabout construction at Route 269 and South Danbury Road and shore revetment along Route 163 in Port Clint
