The Texas Rangers scored five runs while the Cleveland Guardians scored zero runs.

These Rangers are as confounding as ever. Fresh off a demoralizing road trip that seemed to finally tamp down the dirt upon their grave, Texas procured a sweep of the team that came to Arlington directly ahead of them in the Wild Card standings.

The Rangers were large and in charge in today’s win with big men Rowdy Tellez and Joc Pederson going deep, while a four-run outburst in the fourth inning was all that Texas needed to finish off the sweep of the Guardians.

Overall the Rangers didn’t even allow a run in this series after Cleveland scored a couple in the eighth inning on Friday night, spanning 19 innings.
