Trenton, NJ – A multi-agency law enforcement sweep across New Jersey and New York has led to the arrest of nine convicted sex offenders who failed to comply with Megan’s Law registration requirements, officials announced.

The arrests were part of Phase 2 of Operation White Butterfly, a coordinated enforcement effort led by the New Jersey State Police in collaboration with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, and multiple specialized state units including the Fugitive Unit, Criminal Records Integrity and Compliance Unit, Human Trafficking Unit, and K9 Unit.
