Two men were arrested at a Manchester Airport hotel following an incident in the city.

The pair, aged 28 and 23 attempted to book into a four star hotel after an incident in Longsight.

However they were arrested attempting to enter the hotel's reception late on Saturday night.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "The two males aged 23 & 28, were arrested by Man Airport Team 4 officers for the offences of Dangerous driving, Public Order, Possession of a bladed article &S4 Road Traffic Act.

"Both male offenders were involved in an incident in the Longsight area of Manchester and made off from the scene where they attempted to evade police booking into the hotel.
