SAN FRANCISCO, CA (NEWS RELEASE) - No. 18 Texas Tech Soccer was held without a shot for the first nearly 80 minutes of action, before ultimately falling 2-0 at San Francisco Sunday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium.

Trailing for the first time in 2025, Texas Tech (3-1-0) saw its normally dynamic offense severely limited as the Red Raiders recorded just three total shots on goal in the setback.

After a shot from San Francisco’s (1-2-0) Kaitlyn Sasadeusz found the back of the net in the 28th minute, the Red Raiders looked to have found the equalizer in the 40th minute when Eleanor Hays buried a free kick service from Macy Blackburn, but the play was ruled offsides and was upheld on VAR.
