NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) - Newberry’s mayor is sharing how he hopes to celebrate America’s 250th birthday next year.
On Facebook, Mayor Tim Marden announced three events.
The first is a reenactment of the battles of Lexington and Concord on Main Street on April 18.
On the Fourth of July, he’s planning an America-themed parade, where he hopes to let families build floats.
And on September 19, Marden wants to reenact the Constitutional Convention.
He said he wants to work with the community to get everything done.
