LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Athletics) - The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team made quick work of No. 6 Stanford in a 25-13, 25-19, 25-14 sweep on Sunday afternoon in front of a crowd of 15,734 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Huskers (2-0) hit a blistering .385 and held the Cardinal (1-1) to .094 hitting. Allie Sczech earned her first start as a Husker and connected for 12 kills on .400 hitting. Rebekah Allick tallied 11 kills, five blocks and hit .600 to earn MVP honors in the match. Harper Murray contributed 10 kills and nine digs and hit .308.
Bergen Reilly had 36 assists, nine digs, four kills and three blocks. Laney Choboy and Olivia Mauch led the Big Red with 12 digs each.
NU had a 9-2 edge in blocks, 56-35 advantage in digs and 46-31 lead in kills.
