LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Waverly High School enters the 2025 Football season as one of the more confident and experienced teams in Class B. The Vikings return 15 total starters plus a running back that rushed for over 1100 yards in 2024.
Reed Manstedt’s squad went 8-3 last season losing in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. With all the returning talent, the Vikings believe this year they can make a deeper run.
“The biggest thing is the offseason, these guys have worked extremely hard this last offseason in the weight room they put a lot of time in just with different things.. and so really proud of them in that sense they have set themselves well up for success this season,” Reed Manstedt, Waverly Head Coach, said.
Waverly will debut a new quarterback this season in Lincoln Southwest tra
