Thousands gathered at a farm near Friedensfeld on Wednesday evening for a concert by American performer and political activist Sean Feucht.

The event, part of Feucht’s “Revive in 25” tour, was originally scheduled for Winnipeg’s Central Park. The city denied a permit for the show last month, citing safety concerns, forcing organizers to move it outside the city.

An attendee said traffic along Road 31 North, also known as Evergreen Road, slowed as hundreds of vehicles lined up to enter the rural site. Parking attendants directed vehicles into nearby fields converted for the event.

Feucht’s performance marked the first of several Canadian tour stops planned for the Prairies over the coming weeks.
