That same day, a ComicBook report noted a rare twist in Episode 8: Al, the “Ponytail Killer,” escaped. Dexter found Batista’s AirPods tracker, Prater learned about Harrison, and Al left New York before Dexter could strike. The escape broke a 19-year pattern in which Dexter ultimately caught his target.
