CLARKSVILLE, Ind. —
There was a special program at Falls of the Ohio State Park in Clarksville on Sunday,
Folks met in the picnic area to join artist and naturalist Mike Gibson for watercolors: art at the falls.
Gibson said, "The creatures that made up this place, the geological history, that's one of the things I fell in love with most down here is the geological aspect of it. Knowing that this is one of the largest accessible exposed fossil beds in the world, and it's just amazing to think 390 million years ago this was an ocean floor, and I think it's funny that today we're using watercolors."
The $2 program fee was covered by a Falls of the Ohio Foundation Grant.
