EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - An un-bee-lievably fun event took place at Michigan State University’s Horticulture Gardens on Sunday.

The 12th Annual Bee-Palooza was a free event for the community to learn about pollinator conservation efforts.

Visitors could explore interactive exhibits that showcase the diversity of pollinators and their habitats, and learn more in-depth about bees.

Michigan State University Professor Rufus Isaacs spoke on educating people about bees.

“It’s an educational event to try and help people understand the benefits that pollinators provide for us, and sometimes they get a bad wrap if people get stung by a wasp or a bee, but there are so many benefits that they provide through our food and just pollinating our native plants that make our landscape beautiful,” s
