HARVEYS LAKE — As he made the turn toward the finish line at Lake-Noxen Elementary School, Thomas Doran held up two fingers for the crowd.

Sunday marked two cracks at the Back Mountain Triathlon for Doran — and the 20-year-old rising star now has two wins to prove it.

Doran built up a big lead out of the water, added to it on the bike and turned in a blistering run toward home to win his second straight championship at the triathlon’s Olympic-level distance, turning in a final time of 1:59.22 to clear the rest of the field by nearly 11 minutes.

“I was pretty happy with it overall, there’s some things I need to clean up a little bit,” Doran said after crossing the line. “A couple seconds here, a couple seconds there.”
