SAN ANTONIO — Residents of a north-side apartment complex say they are finally able to sleep peacefully after the arrest of a man accused of spying on a woman through her window.

Police have charged 34-year-old Ricardo McCleary Jr. with stalking after a months-long investigation into prowler reports at the Platinum Shavano Oaks Apartments.

Carlos Gallardo, a resident at the complex, said the arrest brings a sense of security to the community.

“Now that he’s caught, we feel a lot safer knowing he’s not around,” Gallardo said.

According to an arrest affidavit, on May 8 around 5 a.m., a woman living at the complex reported seeing a man kneeling near her patio with a phone attached to a selfie stick, appearing to record her as she changed clothes.
