St. Helen — Beverly Gille's eyes light up when she talks about her son, the one who played youth baseball, built a horse stall for a new colt when he was a teen and surprised the family with dinners he whipped up on a whim.
But last week, Gille's eyes watched her son, Bradford, in a video taken from inside a Walmart store near Traverse City, where police allege he terrorized shoppers and randomly stabbed 11 victims, running away with a 3.5-inch blade in his hand as they fell to the ground, bloodied and wounded.
