A Minneapolis mayoral candidate is laying out his public safety policies on social media after his car was stolen from his home.
Jazz Hampton, a Minneapolis attorney and TurnSignl app co-founder, took to social media on Saturday after his car was stolen from in front of his Linden Hills home earlier that morning.
The incident marked the third time Hampton’s car had been stolen from the spot, he said, and comes after an-almost-two month crimewave that has seen more than 500 vehicles damaged and broken into across Minneapolis.
Hampton went on to detail his experience with reporting the incident to the Minneapolis Police Department, saying he waited two minutes for a 911 operator to pick up.
He went on to praise the response from the police officer he spoke to when his call was answered,
