A York County winery has been forced to close for the third time in the last 14 months, following a judge’s ruling on Aug. 21.
Moon Dancer Winery , perched on a spot overlooking the Susquehanna River in Lower Windsor Township, closed the next day following an order by York County Judge Matthew Menges that the winery must obey previous court orders.
Owner Jim Miller later said that the winery planned to file an emergency motion with the state Supreme Court to allow the business to reopen, posting on Facebook that the winery was “not giving up.”
“In the interim,” the post continued, “the winery will be closed immediately. We are also filing an emergency stay, which hopefully will allow us to open until we finally get our day in court. Please stay in touch during these difficult times.”
