AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- All available units from the Austintown Township Police Department responded to a call shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunday involving a shooting on Baylor Drive in Austintown, according to a police report.

Once arriving at the scene on the 5600 block of Baylor Drive, Austintown police found spent shell casings on the road.

Patrol officers responding to the scene observed a vehicle matching the description of a red Pontiac G6 from a previous call. The car, heading northbound on State route 46, was stopped for investigation, according to the report.

Officers then found a handgun in the suspect's vehicle that matched the rounds found in the street, according to the report.
