BURLINGAME, Calif. (KRON) -- Hundreds of people gathered in Burlingame to remember Ayden Fang, a four-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a car two weeks ago.

The accident occurred when a driver swerved to avoid a cyclist and crashed into a restaurant, injuring another child and tragically taking Ayden's life.

"Ayden left us 16 days ago, but his school is full of his memories, laughter," said a grieving family member at the memorial.

Ayden was remembered as a bright student, being the youngest to enroll in his Montessori school. His teacher expressed the profound loss felt by the community.

During the memorial, attendees observed a moment of silence lasting four and a half minutes, marking what would have been Ayden's four-and-a-half-year birthday.
