The American Association of University Women will host a book signing and lecture Sept. 9 at Monroe County Community College. The event will feature Leah Litman, a University of Michigan professor and author, according to a community announcement.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. in the Meyer Theater Atrium, located inside the La-Z-Boy Center at 1555 S. Raisinville Road, Monroe. The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to donate $10 to support the AAUW Scholarship fund, which will be awarded in June 2026.

Litman will discuss her book, "Lawless: How the Supreme Court Runs on Conservative Grievance, Fringe Theories and Bad Vibes." Books will be available for purchase at the event or in advance from Source Booksellers in Detroit online at www.sourcebooksellersonline.com .
