Angola crushed Mali, 70-43, to win the AfroBasket 2025 in front of home fans at Kilamba Arena on Sunday.

The team guided by Spanish Josep Claros led from start to finish in the gold-medal game to wrap up the tournament as the only undefeated team across six games.

Leading his country to the first AfroBasket title from 2013 and 12th overall, 27-year-old point guard Childe Dundao was named Most Valuable Player. He averaged 15.7 points, 5.8 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per contest, including 16 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals in the Final.

The shortest player of the tournament, standing at 1.67 meters, also entered the All-Star Team alongside Angola teammate and Real Madrid player at the club level, Bruno Fernando. Mali standouts Mahamane Coulibaly and Alio
