Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway found herself presenting alone after Richard Madeley abruptly left the studio.

During Monday's edition of the ITV breakfast show (August 25) Kate, 58, and Richard, 69, were back on air delivering the day's news from around the world.

But one particular segment took an unexpected turn when they welcomed Raymond Martin, managing director of the British Toilet Association, to discuss the lack of public conveniences.

The chat appeared to prompt a sudden realisation for Richard as he admitted: "Talking about it, now I need to go on a break."

He instantly rose from his seat and left the ITV studio, reports the Daily Record . Everyone erupted in laughter as he added: "That's the psychological impact of it."
