When the series debuted on July 13, 2025, it ranked as the best premiere ever, according to Deadline. With a show as exceptional as that, fans shouldn't have to wait too long to hear updates about a possible next season. It was revealed that The Institute has been renewed for a sophomore season, and King made a special post on X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate the news.
