BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Drier air continues to filter into south Louisiana, bringing hot but less humid conditions through the start of the workweek.
TODAY’S FORECAST
With drier air in place, a less humid morning will give way to a hot, dry, and mostly sunny afternoon. Highs will climb into the low to upper 90s, but the reduced humidity will keep the heat index below triple digits.
ANOTHER FRONT
Another front is expected to move through Tuesday into Wednesday, reinforcing the drier air and dropping temperatures slightly below normal.
Highs will fall into the upper 80s to low 90s, and overnight lows north of I-10/12 could dip into the upper 60s to low 70s mid to late week. While it will still feel like summer, the lower humidity will bring a noticeable improvement in the heat index.
