East Ridge police say they arrested two people over the weekend after they were found to be in possession of meth.

Officers stopped a white BMW for a minor traffic violation near the Bachman Tunnels. There were two people inside who had meth and a handgun, police said.

The East Ridge Police Department then arrested Shawn Unrah and Miranda Gifford.

Following questioning, officers conducted a search warrant at a home on Ringgold Road.

There, police found 29 grams of meth, 300 grams of marijuana in small bags, drug paraphernalia, and 11 guns.

Miranda Gifford is being charged with possession of meth. Shawn Unrah is being charged with possession of meth for resale, possession of marijuana for resale, and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
