CHICAGO — A man is in critical condition after he was shot by an ex-boyfriend of a woman on the South Side Monday morning, according to police.
Officers responded after 3:20 a.m. to the 6200 block of South Michigan on the report of a shooting.
CPD believes a 34-year-old man and a woman were inside of an apartment when an ex-boyfriend of the woman kicked in the door.
The man was shot twice, in the abdomen and in the foot, and the suspect fled the scene.
The man was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
