CHICAGO — A "crash and grab" took place Tuesday morning targeting a business in Stony Island Plaza.
Officers responded to Snipes just after 6 a.m., located in the 1600 block of East 95th Street, on the report of a burglary.
A black Jeep Cherokee crashed into the store on purpose and the suspects stole cash registers and merchandise.
The ended up fleeing in a different vehicle and the Cherokee remains at the scene as of Tuesday afternoon.
It hasn't not been connected as the same crew, but police responded to two similar "crash and grabs" in the last week.
