CHICAGO — A Chicago man accused of fatally shooting a woman on the city's South Side last month is now facing a felony charge.
Chicago police say 22-year-old Xavier Tousant, who lives in the area where the incident allegedly unfolded, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
Officers say the charge stems from Tousant's alleged role in a deadly shooting that left a 20-year-old woman dead on June 27, 2025.
According to police, the shooting occurred in the 5400 block of South Prairie Avenue, in Washington Park, just after 9:30 p.m. • Photo provided by Chicago police shows 22-year-old Xavier Tousant, who is accused of fatally shooting a woman on Chicago's South Side in June 2025.
