(WFRV) - Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol announced over the weekend that one of their Sergeants is retiring following 28 years of service.

According to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Sergeant Luke Yahn began his career as a member of the 47th Recruit Class in 1997.

Following graduation, Sgt. Yahn was assigned as a trooper in Dunn County from 1997 to 200 before transferring to the Southwest region and working in Richland and Vernon County.

Since 2002, Yahn has supervised Vernon, Crawford, Richland, and Grant Counties after being promoted to sergeant.
