One of Chicago's most beloved holiday events won't take place during the 2025 winter season due to "extensive" construction , according to an announcement.
It's the second year in a row the Chicago Union Station Polar Express Train Ride has been canceled.
"We regret to announce that The Polar Express Train Ride will not operate in Chicago in 2025 due to extensive city street reconstruction above Union Station," event organizers announced in an Instagram post last week. "We understand this is an important experience for families and hope to return in the future."
