SANDY SPRINGS, S.C. (WBTV) - A Hooters restaurant was destroyed by an early-morning fire in South Carolina on Monday.

The blaze broke out around 4:15 a.m. on Aug. 25 at the Hooters on in Sandy Springs, right off I-85.

The Sandy Springs fire chief said a South Carolina state trooper was on his way to a car crash when he saw the restaurant burning. By the time firefighters got there, the restaurant was already engulfed in flames.

Drone video obtained by sister-station showed the entirety of the Hooters’ roof collapsed and most of the inside was destroyed. The building was burned so badly that the “HOOTERS” sign on the front of the restaurant came toppling down.

The fire chief told WHNS that her department had responded to an earlier fire at the same Hooters shortly after 10:30 p.m. S
