Wayne Rooney believes there is "no excuses" for Ruben Amorim at Manchester United this season.
United began the Premier League season with a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at Old Trafford . That was followed by a disappointing 1-1 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Amorim was hoping to make a better start to the campaign. The 40-year-old was backed with the signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon this summer and is targeting a return to Europe.
United have played just two Premier League games, but they will have to perform better if they want to qualify for European competition after finishing 15th in a dismal 2024/2025.
Amorim must start winning matches to prevent pressure from building and Rooney shared his verdict on his BBC podcast .
