LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The motorcyclist killed in a two-vehicle crash in northeast Lincoln on Saturday has been identified as 61-year-old Jeffry Baker of Lincoln.
LPD said officers were called near North 48th Street and Leighton Avenue just before 8 p.m. for crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle.
The preliminary investigation shows a 29-year-old Lincoln woman behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Traverse was driving out of a business lot turning to go southbound on 48th Street when she hit a northbound motorcycle operated by Baker who was not wearing a helmet.
Baker was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet Traverse was not hurt. The crash is still under investigation.
