WINNESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday for a man charged in the death of a missing Iowa teen.
James Bachmurski is charged with second degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Jade Colvin.
Investigators said the two had been messaging for weeks before Bachmurski paid to bring Colvin to his home in Decorah in March 2017.
Colvin has not been seen or heard from since.
According to court documents , during an interview with investigators in 2023, Bachmurski admitted to recognizing a picture of Colvin and knowing she was a run-away.
They also said he made statements to other people, implicating himself in the teen’s disappearance and death.
