DEXTER -- Authorities have released the identity of the person who was killed as the result of a motorcycle crash in Dexter over the weekend.

Dexter police chief Kevin Wintle says 63-year-old Lori Goggin of Dover Foxcroft was driving a motorcycle on Route 69 about 7:30 Saturday night when she hit a deer that was crossing the road.

Wintle says Goggin had life threatening injuries and was taken by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

He says she was listed in critical condition and later died from her injuries.
