CLACKAMAS COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - Clackamas County has reported 101 ER visits for heat-related illnesses since last Thursday, Aug. 21, according to the sheriff’s office.

Additionally, one person died from a suspected heat-related illness on Sunday: A 55-year-old woman.

Multnomah County also reported a possible heat-related death on Sunday.

Oregon and Washington have been experiencing a multi-day heatwave, which started on Friday and is expected to last through Tuesday.

On Friday, the Portland International Airport recorded a temperature on 102 degrees. Temperatures reached the 90s on Saturday and Sunday.

Overnight temperatures remained relatively warm overnight, in the upper 60s, which made it harder for homes to cool down
