BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Gray News) - One person was arrested after allegedly breaking into the home of singer-songwriter and producer Lionel Richie while he was home in Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills police received a 911 call just after midnight from the residence of the 76-year-old music legend about someone on the property, NBC4 reported.

Officers searched the neighborhood, finding a man, identified as 38-year-old Michael John Bond and arrested him on suspicion of residential burglary

Law enforcement sources told NBC4 that the security cameras picked up images of the suspect, who entered the home but was allegedly frightened off by the security alarm.

The four-time Grammy winner’s camp said he is grateful to police for the quick response and arrest, and that no one was injured.
