Opener versus Boise State will mark 11 months to the day Brown was injured
TAMPA, Fla. – With the exception of a couple of snaps in the Hawaii Bowl, Byrum Brown last ran the USF offense September 28 at Tulane before a leg injury sustained that afternoon cut short his junior season. Hence, when he takes the field Thursday night against visiting Boise State (5:30, ESPN) it will be 11 months to the day of his last start.
“I am really excited,” the now-senior quarterback said Monday afternoon. “Me and this group of guys, we have put in a lot of hard work and we are ready to play against (another team) instead of our own teammates.”
Brown, who at 232 pounds has added about 10 pounds since the start of last season, will make his 21st career start Thursday. His abbreviated 2024 season (836 ya
