Veteran QB Takes Over Backup Role, Trask Set for Injury Settlement Release
TAMPA, Fla. – The Bucs have a new backup QB in Teddy Bridgewater. That’s because the Buccaneers have released long-time backup Kyle Trask, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Trask, after a solid performance Saturday night vs the Bills, didn’t seem worried and thought that he played well enough to keep his job.
“I thought it was solid,” Trask said. “I thought it went great. I thought the receivers did a great job of getting open. I thought the offensive line was blocking their tails off. Overall, I think it was just a great overall performance.”
Trask completed 13 of 17 passes for 93 yards and one touchdown against the Bills on Saturday.
