QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two people have been charged after New York State Police conducted an underage drinking enforcement operation across Warren County. 35 businesses were checked for compliance under the New York State Beverage Control Law, which prohibits the sale of alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.

During the investigation, troopers in plainclothes and one or several underage operatives attempted to purchase alcohol at each business. Two businesses -- identified as Mobil at 3624 Route 9 in Lake George and Food Mart at 474 Aviation Road in Queensbury -- allegedly sold alcohol to the underage individuals.

Two people were charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child as a result. 33 other businesses reportedly complied with New York State law.
