LAKE PLEASANT, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Lake Pleasant man has been sentenced to state prison for reportedly sexually abusing a child, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office. Christopher Southard was arrested in February.

Authorities allege that Southard subjected a victim under the age of 13 to sexual contact in the town of Providence between December 2023 and February 2024. He reportedly pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse on July 14.

On Monday, Southard was sentenced to three years in state prison. He will also undergo 10 years of post-release supervision, the DA's Office said.
