BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti provided his team with the same history lesson about the Sun Belt’s success against Power Four opponents that he’s shared with the media in recent days.

He enters the week of prep for IU’s season-opener against the Monarchs looking for urgency from his entire locker room from the coaches on down to avoid having the Hoosiers added to that list of upsets.

Cignetti himself pulled off one such upset during his tenure at JMU with a 2023 upset over Virginia.
