CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The suspect accused of helping coordinate the “violent attack” in downtown Cincinnati is facing federal drug charges.
Jermaine Matthews , 39, of East Price Hill, was already facing aggravated riot, felonious assault and assault charges for his part in the July 26 brawl, according to Cincinnati police.
Almost exactly one month after the brawl, Matthews was arrested by federal agents, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio Dominick Gerace II announced.
Matthews was indicted by a federal grand jury for conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine and fentanyl, according to Gerace.
Federal officials said the 39-year-old Matthews planned to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl.
