One of the suspects charged in connection with the downtown brawl is now facing federal drug charges.

Jermaine Mathews, 39, has been charged, along with four others, with conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine and fentanyl. Advertisement

He's accused of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. According to the indictment, he is also charged with operating a premises on Kenton Street in Cincinnati for the purpose of trafficking narcotics.

Mathews faces local charges of aggravated riot and assault in connection with the downtown brawl on July 26. Mathews was released from jail after posting his $270,000 bond on the local charges.
