The Pulaski County Lady Maroons squared off with the Southwestern Lady Warriors in the first game of a tri-match on Saturday morning, with the Maroons largely dominating in a 2-0 shutout victory (25-20, 25-11).
Although the Warriors got out to a 6-1 lead in the first set, some solid hitting by the home team eventually pushed them ahead 10-9 following a kill from Lilee Todd. Late in the first set, the teams were battling back and forth until a kill from Lakelynn Dykes put the Maroons on set point. An attacking error by the Warriors ended up being the visitors undoing, as Pulaski claimed the set 25-20.
